College Football Betting: CLEMSON TIGERS at AUBURN TIGERS (9/3)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL — September 3

CLEMSON at AUBURN
(Line:Clemson -8.5, Total 62) – Clemson seems loaded coming back again, as QB Deshaun Watson is driving toward a Heisman, and not only does he have his top running back, Wayne Gallman, returning for another year, he will also have Mike Williams, a real NFL prospect at wide receiver, at his disposal. Replacing seven people on defense won’t be as daunting a task as it might otherwise be without DC Brent Venables. Auburn made the decision to start soph Sean White at quarterback; he had one TD and four INT’s last season, and is not the ideal kind of runner coach Gus Malzahn really wants piloting his read-option system. Remember also that Malzahn dismissed running back Jovon Robinson from the team (he has since enrolled at Valdosta State). And the Auburn defense, which was expected to make a leap last year under coordinator Will Muschamp, will not undergo another system change. The War Eagle has allowed at least 4.5 yards per carry in each of the last five seasons. Don’t think Auburn is in a position to trade points here.
