NFL Betting: DALLAS COWBOYS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (8/25)

PRO FOOTBALL — August 25

DALLAS at SEATTLE
(Line: Seahawks -5.5 , Total 43) – Dak Prescott is all the rage right now in Dallas, as he has gone 22 for 27 with four touchdown passes in his first two pre-season games. Now the ‘Boys figure they can do without veteran help to back up the injury-prone Tony Romo. And maybe they are right. We do know this – if the Seattle defense is sufficiently motivated in this, the “dress rehearsal” week, they will put Prescott to a test he is heretofore not familiar with, especially if he has to log time with the second team and deal with all the noise that is generated at CenturyLink Field. The Cowboys have won just four of their last 15 pre-season games, and they are generally not all that interested in them judging by an 8-15 ATS mark since the 2011 exhibition slate. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have shown something extra special at home in these affairs, so as not to disappoint the “12th Man,” we presume. They have won nine of their last ten pre-season games at home, and eight of those have been by double-digit margins. And in this Week 3 spot (which is unique as we have alluded to), they have covered in seven of the last nine years. So we are not afraid to lay the lumber here.
