NFL Betting: CINCINNATI BENGALS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (8/28)

PRO FOOTBALL — August 28

CINCINNATI at JACKSONVILLE
(Line: Jaguars -2.5 , Total 42.5) – Jacksonville has scored 24 points on offense in five possessions with its first-team offense, and it could have been more. Blake Bortles has played pretty well, with 14 out of 18 for 190 yards. And the Jaguars have been not bad out of the starting gate either. Of course, Cincinnati has allowed just three first-quarter points over the first two games of the pre-season schedule, so their starters have performed before being taken out……Marvin Lewis has not shown an aversion to playing above expectations in these exhibition games (9-5 ATS last 14). There is an important battle to see who is going to be the #2 receiver, which is obviously going to be a critical spot as the team needs to deflect some attention away from AJ Green. And Brandon Lafell, who was expected to be the guy, is going to get extended time as he tries to beat back the challenge of Tyler Boyd. So you can look Andy Dalton to be aggressive in hooking up with either of them…..We’re worried a little about the Jags’ discipline; they turned it over four times last time vs. Tampa Bay and they have incurred 25 penalties in two games. That opens things up for an aggressive dog which is the better team, after all.
