BASEBALL — August 8

TEXAS (Hamels) at COLORADO (Anderson)
(Line: Rangers -120 / Rockies +100, Total 10.5) – Tyler Anderson has been a pretty good pitcher at home, especially when you consider that we are talking about Coors Field. Anderson’s ERA in Denver is 3.32 and his wOBA (Weighted On-Base Percentage) allowed is .326, which isn’t very bad at all. He also gets 53% ground balls at home, which is reflected in the fact that he has surrendered only three homers in 43 innings at Coors. Cole Hamels has allowed three runs or less in each of his last four starts at Coors Field, and he has a sizzling 1.90 ERA on the road, as opposed to his home ERA of 4.22. Texas has scored five runs or less in eight straight games.
