Baseball Betting: TEXAS RANGERS at LOS ANGELES ANGELS (7/19)

BASEBALL — July 19

TEXAS (Lohse) vs L.A. ANGELS (Lincecum)
(America’s Bookie Line: Angels -130 / Rangers +110, Total 10) — The Rangers seem to be fading a little, losing five of their last six, and that might make some sense when you consider that they have thinned-out starting pitching and a bullpen that has not gotten the job done by any stretch (allowing a .277 average with an ERA over 5.00, for example). Kyle Lohse is hurting with his oblique strain, but what are these guys going to do? They’ll have to turn to that bullpen sooner or later, and it failed them on Monday. Meanwhile, Tim Lincecum is a long way from his days as a Cy Young winner; he has allowed 34 hits in his last 17-2/3 innings and is yielding 14.5 hits per nine innings, which is WAY above anything he has done in his career. We get a relatively decent price on the total here.
