NBA Betting: West Playoffs Game 3 – SAN ANTONIO SPURS at MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (4/22)

PRO BASKETBALL — April 22

Western Conference Playoffs – Game 3
SAN ANTONIO at MEMPHIS

(America’s Bookie Line: Spurs -12, Total 183) — Do the Grizzlies really have any answers, aside from the fact that they finally get to play at home now? Well, not really; they lost by 20 and 14 points to the Spurs the last two times these teams met at the FedEx Forum. And with the skeleton crew they are operating with (minus Marc Gasol and Mike Conley) they have a tremendous problem waking up offensive options. The Spurs have harassed Zach Randolph into 27% shooting, and the Grizz lineup averages 35 years of age, with the likes of Chris Andersen, Vince Carter (at 39) and Jordan Farmar expected to produce. They don’t threes all that often (just TWO) in Game 2) and they don’t get out and run a lot (only six fast break points last time out). So how are they going to score against a Spurs squad that is #1 in Defensive Rating in the NBA and has been resting starters very judiciously? See what we’re saying? Okay, we may see an energized defensive effort out of Memphis, but perhaps little else.
