College Basketball Betting: NCAA – WICHITA STATE SHOCKERS vs. ARIZONA WILDCATS (3/17)

COLLEGE BASKETBALL — March 17

NCAA Tournament @ Providence
WICHITA STATE vs. ARIZONA

(America’s Bookie Line: Pick’em, Total 136) — Wichita State has made it to the Final Four in 2013 and the Sweet 16 last year, so would it be any surprise at all if they, well, pulled off a surprise in this one? They would appear to possess some of the characteristics that might bother Arizona, such as the ability to slow down the game (allowing just 59 ppg), and great care of the ball (+5.5 in TO’s – 2nd best in the nation). The veteran backcourt of Fred Van Vleet and Ron Baker has all that experience going back three years, and they can control much of the tempo. Arizona is great on the boards and has three people averaging at least 15 ppg, so this is not a cakewalk, naturally. But it was a tremendous help to WSU, as it turns out, that they got to do the play-in game, because they had been idle for nine days prior.
