College Basketball Betting: NCAA – BUTLER BULLDOGS vs. TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS (3/17)

COLLEGE BASKETBALL — March 17

NCAA Tournament @ Raleigh
BUTLER vs. TEXAS TECH

(America’s Bookie Line: Butler -4, Total 147) — What makes this a somwhat difficult call is that Texas Tech has shown it was good enough to compete with – and beat – some of the best teams in the deep Big 12, including, in a row, Iowa State, Baylor and Oklahoma. But they also showed that they are capable of horrible efforts as well, like their loss to TCU in the conference tourney. So they are Jekyll-and-Hyde, and of late they have lost three of their last four (beating only K-State), which makes it tough to back them against a program with a better tournament pedigree. Butler (81 ppg) may succeed in pushing the pace here, and they went out of their conference and beat capable squads like Temple, Cincinnati and Purdue. Perhaps we’re casting a vote for more consistency.
