College Basketball Betting: KENTUCKY WILDCATS vs. STONY BROOK SEAWOLVES (3/17)

COLLEGE BASKETBALL — March 17

NCAA Tournament @ Des Moines
KENTUCKY vs. STONY BROOK

(America’s Bookie Line: Kentucky -13, Total 143.5) — What it really comes down to for Stony Brook is getting Jameel Warney unleashed. The dynamic 6-8 forward scored 43 against Vermont to win the America East title, and he is just under 20 points and eleven rebounds for the season. But if Kentucky can slow him down, we’re not necessarily confident enough in a “Plan B” for Stony Brook. And the Wildcats have the size and depth up front to do that, not only with Alex Poythress, Marcus Lee and Derek Willis, but also freshman Skal Labissiere, an overall disappointment but still someone who can come in and provide some “instant defense.” Stony Brook’s guards are likely to be overmatched by the combo of Tyler Ulis and Jamal Murray, who are as good as any tandem in the country.
