Pro Basketball Betting: HOUSTON ROCKETS at UTAH JAZZ (2/23)

PRO BASKETBALL — February 23

(America’s Bookie Line: Jazz -4.5, Total 204) — Maybe a battle of wills here? Certainly a battle for the #8 spot in the West. Utah clearly wants to keep things to a crawl, while the Rockets are interested in taking a lot of shots, preferably from beyond the arc. Houston had better be accurate, because they are not getting into the lane with Rudy Gobert (second in block percentage) patrolling the inside. The Rockets had a trade to Detroit voided, and they were also not able to deal away Dwight Howard before the deadline, so whatever problems they had which have led to this year’s disappointment are going to persist. Shelvin Mack, who had 16 points in 24 minutes in his first game for the Jazz, may be of help to Utah in the point guard situation. Jazz looks to extend its winning streak at the Vivint Smart Home Arena to seven games.
