NBA Betting: BROOKLYN NETS at PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS (2/23)

PRO BASKETBALL — February 23

BROOKLYN at PORTLAND
(America’s Bookie Line: Blazers -11.5, Total 212) — The Blazers have been one of the NBA’s most pleasant surprises, with ten wins in their last eleven games, and while it looked as if Portland was going to have to go into “rebuild” mode after losing the likes of LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum and others, they have been a model of resilience with the dynamic backcourt of Damian Lillard and emerging star CJ McCollum (combining for 46 ppg). Lillard had 51 in a rout of Golden State, and there was 61 between them against Utah. No, the Nets’ youthful guards won’t be able to handle them that well. But at the same time, Brooklyn has elevated parts of its offensive game under interim coach Tony Brown, and that includes three-point shooting, where they were last in the league when Brown took over,m but have been best in the NBA over the last dozen games (43.7%). Trends? The Nets have gone “over” in ten of last 13, while the Blazers have exceeded the total four games in a row.
