College Basketball Betting: KENTUCKY WILDCATS at KANSAS JAYHAWKS (1/30)

COLLEGE BASKETBALL — January 30

KENTUCKY at KANSAS
(America’s Bookie Line: Kansas -5.5, Total 149) — We realize that Kentucky is playing well lately, winning three straight by an average of 22 points, but this might be a bit of buzzsaw for them to run into. Kansas has not only lost three of its last five, as the national ranking is likely to plummet, but they are still seething over last season’s 72-40 loss to a much stronger Kentucky squad, in which they shot just 19.6%. The Jayhawks bring more experience to the table, as well as the 37-game home winning streak, and if they can get anything out of talented freshmen Carlton Bragg and Chieck Diallo, they can match the Wildcats’ size, which is now bolstered by the emergence of junior Derek Willis (12.3 ppg, 10 rpg over last four). An electric atmosphere likely in Lawrence, and UK hasn’t always played well in hostile environs.
