College Football Betting: Quick Lane Bowl – MINNESOTA GOLDEN GOPHERS vs. CENTRAL MICHIGAN CHIPPEWAS (12/28)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL — December 28

Quick Lane Bowl @ Detroit
MINNESOTA vs. CENTRAL MICHIGAN

(America’s Bookie Line: Minnesota -6, Total 48.5) — The Gophers have demonstrated that they can stand up to pretty good opposition, as they were highly competitive with the likes of TCU, Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State. But they generally struggle to find yards and points (only 22.6 ppg), and Central Michigan is not one of those pliable defensive units that is often seen in the MAC. These guys were 14th in the nation in red zone defense and held opponents to 34% on third down. Cooper Rush, who had seven TD passes in last year’s Bahamas Bowl, can really spread the ball around (five different receivers with at least 500 yards) and the Chips manage to hold onto the football (6th nationwide in possession time) without having much of a running game.
