World Series Betting: Game 2 – NEW YORK METS at KANSAS CITY ROYALS (10/28)

BASEBALL — October 28

World Series – Game 2
N.Y. METS (deGrom) at KANSAS CITY (Cueto)

(America’s Bookie Line: Mets -120 / Royals +100, Total: Over 7 -115 / Under 7 -105) — Yes, we do respect that in his career, Johnny Cueto has held many of the Mets’ hitters in check, including Daniel Murphy (3 for 17) and Lucas Duda (10 K’s in 15 at bats). And we’re not saying he’ll self-destruct. But Jacob deGrom has been very impressive in winning all three of his road starts in the post-season (with a 1.80 ERA). Against the Dodgers he beat Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke. And he hasn’t let too many runners steal on him; in fact, only four have done it all year. We just like the level of consistency he has shown over that of Cueto, who has not been able to sustain a string of good efforts since he put on the KC uniform. And the Royals may have to go back to their bullpen a little more – remember they used seven pitchers in the memorable Game 1.
