Monday Night Football Betting: BALTIMORE RAVENS at ARIZONA CARDINALS (10/26)

PRO FOOTBALL — October 26

(America’s Bookie Line: Cardinals -10, Total 50) — You can bet Baltimore will try to get off to a better start here; so far they haven’t scored a point on their opening drives, with only 48 total yards. This is a very desperate situation for them, and let’s keep in mind that the Ravens have gone to the playoffs six of the last seven years, so they are not used to being in “elimination mode” this early. That will produce a focused effort. Yes, it is true that Patrick Peterson may have the ability to take Steve Smith out of the game, and that is a problem for Joe Flacco, who doesn’t have a lot of receivers to choose from. But Justin Forsett is healthy enough to go here, and he’s had 271 yards in his last two games (sat last week). Meanwhile, Baltimore (3.6 ypc allowed) does have the capacity to minimize what Arizona’s running game can do, and that might change things a little for Carson Palmer, who will feel the pressure of a Ravens pass rush that has 18 sacks – not a bad figure considering they don’t have Terrell Suggs. Baltimore’s five defeats have come by a total of 22 points (with six the largest losing margin) and all the games have basically come down to the last possession, which suggests this one can go to the wire.
