Football Odds: CLEMSON TIGERS at NORTH CAROLINA STATE WOLFPACK (10/31)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL — October 31

CLEMSON at N.C. STATE
(America’s Bookie Line: Clemson -10.5, Total 50.5) — Clemson beat Notre Dame, handled Georgia Tech rather easily, scored 34 points against defensively-stout Boston College and then sent Al Golden into the abyss with a 58-0 pasting of Miami. So understandably the number on this game went sailing. But with the Tigers staring at a blood match with Florida State next week, would be cautious about spotting too much to the Wolfpack, which has been pretty stiff against the pass (allowing just 46% completions!) and has gotten nearly mistake-free play out of quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the Florida transfer who is not only 67% accurate, but has thrown just one interception in 182 attempts. NC State has covered eight of its last ten games, and you know they are keyed up to play better after a 41-0 embarrassment suffered at the hands of Clemson last year.
