Pro Football Betting: CINCINNATI BENGALS at BALTIMORE RAVENS (9/27)

PRO FOOTBALL — September 27

CINCINNATI at BALTIMORE
(America’s Bookie Line: Ravens -1.5, Total 45.5) — The Ravens admittedly didn’t do a whole lot of positive things on defense last week, with Terrell Suggs out of the lineup. They only had one sack of David Carr, who threw for 351 yards. Yes, there are some ingredients missing. And the Bengals are off to a flying start, with people like Giovanni Bernard (6.6 ypc) making a big impact. But the setup actually isn’t all that bad for us here. For one thing, the Ravens are a little desperate with their 0-2 start. They haven’t allowed a hundred-yard rusher in 28 games. They have kept things reasonable overall on defense – less than four yards a carry, less than six yards a pass attempt. And if you think Andy Dalton is going to continue without a sack or an INT – please raise your hand. If this is a game with a real sense of urgency, I would rather go with the team that has won games in the playoffs six of the last seven years than the one that has NEVER won in the post-season under Marvin Lewis. So we ignore that Bengals’ sweep from last year, and go in hard.
