NFL Betting: HOUSTON TEXANS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (8/30)

PRO FOOTBALL — August 30

HOUSTON at NEW ORLEANS
(America’s Bookie Line: Saints -4, Total 43.5) — It appears as if Houston coach Bill O’Brien is going to go easy with his starters, perhaps sitting many of them out, including JJ Watt, Jonathan Joseph, DeAndre Hopkins and Vince Wilfork. That reflects his attitude toward this game more than anything else. Meanwhile, we don’t think New Orleans is going to do that; Drew Brees through for 159 yards and two touchdowns last week, and he is gaining some rapport with his receivers, including Brandin Cooks (117 yards last week). This is important, because tight end Jimmy Graham, as you probably know, is in Seattle. The offensive line is coming around, and you can bet it will be a very emotional atmosphere at the Superdome, as the Saints come together with their fans for the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina tragedy. This is just a case where one team will be much more tuned in to victory than the other.
