Football Betting: ARIZONA CARDINALS at OAKLAND RAIDERS (8/30)

PRO FOOTBALL — August 30

ARIZONA at OAKLAND
(America’s Bookie Line: Raiders -2, Total 39.5) — The Cardinals are probably not going to push Carson Palmer too much here, despite the “dress rehearsal” aspect of this game. So what they will wind up with in the second half are very green QB’s in Phillip Sims and Logan Thomas, who are battling it out for the #3 spot. Chris Johnson has not had a lot of practice time with his new teammates, but he’ll get a lot of time here. David Carr is more at home in this year’s Oakland offense, and he’s got more weaponry on the flanks in Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper. Roy Helu could make a difference catching passes out of the backfield. And Latavius Murray will get more playing time too. He’s explosive. Oakland held Minnesota (which has won all its pre-season games) to just 4.8 yards per pass attempt last week, even in a 20-12 loss.
