Baseball Odds: CLEVELAND INDIANS at OAKLAND ATHLETICS (7/30)

BASEBALL — July 30

CLEVELAND (Carrasco) at OAKLAND (Bassitt)
(America’s Bookie Line: Indians -140 / A’s +120, Total 7) — Cleveland got its bats going in a big way on Wednesday, scoring a dozen runs with 18 hits while Corey Kluber pitched a complete game in a romp over league-leading Kansas City. But did you know that prior to that game, they had scored just ten runs in their last six? That’s right; the Tribe has sunk to the bottom of the AL Central on the basis of those losses. Sure, they are a winning team on the road (25-22) and Carlos Carrasco is 3-0 with a 1.98 ERA in his last four as the visitor, but at this price, the A’s are worth a look, because they have gotten some solid performances out of Chris Babbitt, whose ERA is under 3.00 and has TWO walks in 23 innings since becoming a starting pitcher. Oakland’s home record is nothing to write home about (21-29), but they are 7-6 in their last 13 at the O.co Coliseum, for what it’s worth.
