NBA FInals – Game 4
GOLDEN STATE at CLEVELAND

(America’s Bookie Line: Warriors -4, Total 193.5) — Without question, you could see some sentiment toward the Warriors here, since this is a very desperate situation for them. After all, they don’t want to go down 3-1. It was perhaps good news that Stephen Curry was able to explode in the second half, as he may have at least figured out a way to operate against this Cleveland defensive scheme, which has made life difficult for him. However, also don’t want to underestimate that the Cavaliers are making players who are non-scorers beat them, and that has not been pleasant for Golden State. Meanwhile, do the Warriors have an answer for LeBron James? It would appear not, as he has averaged over 41 points in four meetings against this club. But look at Tristan Thompson, who has averaged 14 rebounds, or Timofey Mozgov, who has made Golden State very hesitant to attack the paint. With only a dozen free throws on Tuesday, it is clear that Steve Kerr’s team is settling for jump shots, so there is no “inside-out” attack that we can see. And as we have mentioned, they are easily losing the battle of pace, as this series has averaged 89.7 possessions per 48 minutes, lower than the slowest team in the NBA. And Cleveland is 27-2 at home over their last 29 home games, which has to be respected.
