NFL Betting: NEW YORK JETS at MIAMI DOLPHINS (12/28)

PRO FOOTBALL — December 28

N.Y. JETS at MIAMI
(GetThatBet Line: Dolphins -7, Total 41) — Yes, we know that Rex Ryan is likely on his way out, and in fact he has already cleaned out his office, according to published reports. We know that Geno Smith has stumbled and bumbled his way through two campaigns as a starting NFL quarterback, with 22 touchdown passes and 34 interceptions, and there is no guarantee that he will be in a Jets uniform next year either. Coming down the stretch, you can see that the Jets are playing hard. They very nearly pulled an upset over New England last week, and if they could have performed a little better in the red zone, they would have beaten the Dolphins in the Meadowlands a month ago. They certainly demonstrated the ability to run the ball down the Dolphins’ throats, with 277 yards on the ground. So do not discount that this team will put forth an extra special effort for Ryan, who has always been known as a players’ coach. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have failed to cover in their last four games, and Ryan Tannehill, who has been sacked 40 times, will find himself under constant pressure from Ryan’s creative blitz packages.
