NFL Betting: DETROIT LIONS at GREEN BAY PACKERS (12/28)

PRO FOOTBALL — December 28

DETROIT at GREEN BAY
(GetThatBet Line: Packers -7.5, Total 46.5) — Can’t speak much for the Lions’ chances to actually win straight-up here, as the Packers have too much on their side, with the stellar numbers of Aaron Rodgers (23 TD’s, no interceptions at Lambeau), the 41-point scoring average at home, and the fact that Detroit hasn’t won on this field since 1991. Detroit has averaged less than 14 points a game as the visitor, so we don’t expect a whole lot from them. But Detroit’s defensive unit has proven itself to be real, as it is second in the league in both yards AND points allowed per drive. And they really bottled up Rodgers the last time these clubs met, allowing only 147 passing yards. Remember that Detroit is the stingiest team in the league against the run (3.1 ypc allowed), so it is unlikely that the Packers get a lot of balance with Eddie Lacy.
