College Football Betting: Music City Bowl – NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH vs. LSU TIGERS (12/30)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL — December 30

Music City Bowl @ Nashville
NOTRE DAME vs. LSU

(GetThatBet Line: LSU -8, Total 51) — LSU has played its last five games under the total, but what is a little distressing here is the fact that Notre Dame has been able to stop virtually no one down the stretch, allowing 244 rushing yards per contest over their last five. In each of the last seven games the Irish have allowed at least 30 points, and even the extra preparation time isn’t likely to give them a more effective stop unit, since injuries are what have really taken a toll. Frankly, we do not trust LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings, but we know that the Tigers have a very deep backfield, and that will, reportedly, include Kenny Hilliard, who is listed as probable for this game. They can keep pounding away at Notre Dame’s defensive front seven. Brian Kelly is making a change at quarterback with Malik Zaire coming in for Everett Golson, and Zaire adds a dimension – the ability to run with authority – that might be able to make a few good things happen for the Irish.
