College Football Betting: Liberty Bowl – WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS vs. TEXAS A&M AGGIES (12/29)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL — December 29

Liberty Bowl @ Memphis
WEST VIRGINIA vs. TEXAS A&M

(GetThatBet Line: West Virginia -3, Total 67) — Clint Trickett’s concussion problems were bad enough that he has had to retire from football, and that leaves West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen with Skyler Howard, who had five TD passes in limited action and has proven his ability to run with the ball. Meanwhile, Texas A&M continues to move with freshman Kyle Allen, who came in for Kenny Hill, who looked like a Heisman candidate after the season opener with South Carolina, but fizzled. Considerable edge on defense goes to the Mountaineers, who have held opponents to 31% on third down (among the top ten in the country). Aggies have covered just one of their last eight games. And while A&M is 2-12 ATS in its last 14 games against teams with winning records, WVU was extremely competitive even in defeats to Alabama, Oklahoma, TCU and Kansas State, and handed Baylor its only loss.
