College Football Betting: Belk Bowl – LOUISVILLE CARDINALS vs. GEORGIA BULLDOGS (12/30)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL — December 30

Belk Bowl @ Charlotte
LOUISVILLE vs. GEORGIA

(GetThatBet Line: Georgia -7, Total 56) — Certainly Todd Grantham, last year’s Georgia defensive coordinator who was fired by Mark Richt and wound up at Louisville, feels he has something to prove. Then again, Richt knows all about the kind of schemes his former charge likes to use. It seems as if Louisville was a rock-ribbed unit coming into the Florida State game, but the Seminoles carved out something of a blueprint as to how to attack them, and they gave up 129 points over their last four games. They are going to be challenged by the Bulldogs’ running game, which now features freshman Nick Chubb (1281 yards) but not Todd Gurley, who is injured. Louisville is had a revolving door of quarterbacks, and we would expect that Reggie Bonnafon and Kyle Bolin will both see action this one. Bobby Petrino isn’t saying who’ll get the start, but did indicate that both of the have gotten about an equal number of reps with the first team. wide receiver Davante Parker may be the most dangerous guy on the field, as he averaged 147 yards per game after coming back from injury. The Georgia offense has pretty decent balance and averaged 41.7 points per contest, which included blowout victories over Clemson, Missouri and Auburn. But QB Hutson Mason is not necessarily dynamic, and Louisville (3 ypc allowed) might as least slow the Bulldog ground attack enough to get some stops. Richt has not always been at his best in bowl games. And this game is VERY special for Grantham.
